Today, as government funding for essential programs remains uncertain, community support is more important than ever. Growing up, Aliyah never had anyone she could trust to talk openly about birth control or sexual health. As a young Black woman trying to navigate school, relationships, and her future, she often felt alone and unsupported.

Everything changed when she found NIMCHN.

“At NIMCHN, I finally felt heard and respected,” Aliyah shared. “They gave me a safe space to ask questions without judgment.”

With compassionate care and trusted support, Aliyah was able to focus on her future, complete college, and earn her bachelor’s degree — becoming the first woman in her family to delay motherhood in order to pursue her education and career goals.

Her story is a powerful reminder that access to trusted healthcare can change lives for generations.
