Periods with Purpose, a NIMCHN initiative, is committed to ending period poverty by creating and distributing free menstrual products to women and girls in underserved communities.
We believe periods should never be a barrier to dignity, education, confidence, or opportunity.
Through compassionate outreach, menstrual health education, and community support, we empower young women to thrive without shame or limitation.

PERIOD DRIVES
Every month, thousands of girls and women face the difficult reality of not having access to the menstrual products they need. Through our Period Drives, we work with local businesses, organizations, schools, and community partners to collect menstrual hygiene products that help address period poverty throughout our communities.
Community members can support our mission by donating products at collection sites, purchasing items through our Amazon Wish Lists, or making financial contributions through our county-specific Periods with Purpose donation platforms.
The products collected through our Period Drives are distributed to local food banks, schools, shelters, community organizations, and NIMCHN outreach events, ensuring that individuals and families have access to essential menstrual supplies when they need them most.
By participating in a Period Drive, you are helping restore dignity, improve health outcomes, and ensure that no one has to miss school, work, or daily activities because they lack access to period products.

PERIOD PACKING PARTY
Periods with Purpose is about more than providing products—it is about empowering young people with knowledge, confidence, and support.
Our Period Parties are educational events that create a safe, welcoming space for young women to learn about puberty, menstrual health, and their changing bodies. Through engaging activities and open conversations, participants gain valuable knowledge about their menstrual cycles, personal hygiene, and overall wellness.
During each event, participants assemble their own period packs filled with essential menstrual products and educational resources to take home. These kits help ensure they are prepared and confident when managing their periods.
